This is a loose watercolor and pastel work, from the mule barge days on the canal in New Hope, PA. Over the years the barge rides have been cancelled on and off - not sure what the status is now but glad I did go for a ride back when. Pastel and watercolor mixed media, 12x20"

I have been involved in the art world all my working life. I transitioned to commercial art in my twenties, and had a successful career for many years. I worked for Locked Martin for many years and retired from there. Now that I am retired, I have resumed a full time career in tradition art. I paint primarily in oils and soft pastels. There is no particular subject - I do them all. I consider my style to be realism with a contemporary edge. I like a fairly vibrant palette. My work has sold throughout the USA, China, Australia and Europe.
I continue to attend workshops, seminars and lectures to enhance my skills. Art is a never ending project.
