After gaining an O’ level at school, after which I took up College evening classes. I once designed 2 Bar Meal posters for a friend for her cookery course. My first experience of entering a competition was for the college logo back in 1980 (The badger, a borough of Broxtowe won). My largest oil painting entitled “The Developing World” was entered in an exhibition (1982). I made a large poster to advertise the opening of a Romanian Wedding shop locally (1997). I have used my artistic skills throughout my work with designing posters and stationary for local small businesses since. I have now taken up Art classes again, recently exhibiting a few paintings for charity (2011). I have completed my first Commission piece and my Original watercolour painting Port Erin Bay has been displayed in the local Library (2014) .I have most recently exhibited from home. I have taken part in a number of Art Exhibitions and Craft Fairs in 2017.
I especially like painting Watercolour Landscapes, Seascapes and Still Life. I’m now trying Acrylics on large canvas. I am also looking at the use of Water soluble Pencils and Pastels.
